vx6800 - my new business phone

Over the holidays I sold my venerable (two year old) Verizon vx6700 and bought the upgrade - the vx6800. It is roughly the same size as the vx6700 but lacks the nub antenna. It weighs about half as much, it has a much better camera, and in general it is a great, great phone.

I have one beef with Verizon Wireless, though. I already pay a substantial amount for my wireless service, but when I tried to use my new phone as a modem for my laptop, I was informed that I had to fork over another $15/month for the right to use my phone that way. Huh. I'm not against anyone making a profit, but when I look at my wireless bill, the word "gouging" floats into my brain. More power to them, I guess, as long as they continue to have great service, which they certainly do in San Diego.
